Fire Ring Assembly
I am always trying to bring something more to the table. With that, I decided that making a video for fire ring assembly would be an added benefit to my customers at no additional cost to them. This is a 8 sided fire ring that I manufacture custom to the customer as far as what designs they want in their fire ring. To get more information on these pits, visit my website, where you can see most of whats available, although I add new designs as requested, and from there you can fill out a contact form to see if I can make your fire ring for you! finchfabrication.com/fire-rings

The Making of The Little Foundry
Просмотров 6336 лет назад
I finally decided to not let my brain get in the way further from making this happen. For too long I was concentrating on making the perfect foundry using castable refractories, and i finally said to myself, just make something. And this is what I came up with, with much inspiration from many other creators.

X Carve Table Part 1
Просмотров 4897 лет назад
Well, after sitting on owning this table for about a year and never fully assembling it, I decided that it was about time to get around to it. I've finished the assembly of the table in the house (Its warmer) and now after building this table to set it on in the garage, it will likely get its final tweaking done out there where it is currently cold :( Either way, this should prove to be interes...

Not too much, but getting somewhere to where this garage will be done enough to not have worry about it through the winter.

Garage Build Part 2 All About Concrete

Nothing to see here, really... Well actually you will see the concrete pour, sealing and cutting of the stress lines. Then as I have little concrete knowledge, I question some things, but for all I know it is standard?

use AWS 1.4 , it has chemical spec
Great job ! Looks like you have pretty much everything you need to weld covered ( size and type of filler rod ) ! ! ! I like your rack also !
Love the no music and making everything "spectacular", in fact you showed a matter of "this is how I do it'" which is why we watch these things.
Great info for me. I was planning on using rebar to build a gate as my first welding project. This video has made me reconsider rebar. My father a professional welder told me using rebar would be very hard but no explanation. This video gave me a reason.
How about the outlet where you are going to plug the extention cord? How do you make it?? What kind of part is needed in order for you to have an outlet? Thank you very much for the video it’s very informative for us who is planning to make an outlet for our welding machine.and also what is the amperage needed to put in the main breaker..
Can not use soow cord for a permanent installation.
Square=Robertson... Canadian Invested....
Excellent Video Sir
Should material aging be done on 6082-t6 pqr?
Bruh you use the crayon after you pre-heat you're just blasting it with heat directly
Couldn't you simply removed the box top and strap to the lathe?
Very helpful thanks my man!!
Set all the tracking adjustment
Did you plug the white wire in the box?I did not use the white wire in the box and in the breaker panel but still getting current in the white wire?
Really nice job, WOW! Loved the detail work.
8:28 I’m not sure I’m confident in this videos instructions anymore
It took until 8:28?😂😂
How thin and thick can you weld? What is the duty cycle? Thank you
Great info. Ive fabricated a few things strictly from black steel rebar 5/8" thickness. I have an ac buzzbox and have had no problems at all using 7014 rods (5/32" rods at 175 amps) also 6010 or 6011 work great too. I just prefer the 7014 because higher tensile strength and easy slag peel
thanks. After struggling for hours, I finally figured out the female end requires you take OFF the little clips, put the wires in place, replace the clips and tighten. The cable I was using was a 6-p50 style flat range cable, so all three wires have to go in at once. I nearly went insane trying to them in, they had tiny strands getting twisted, nightmare. Had I watched this, it would have been so much easier.
How long would it take to cut a 1x1 inch steel square bar
How long would it take to cut a 1x1 inch bar
Wow.
thanks for informaitons !
so your line looks like 8/3 ?
Missing thumb nail ?
Those guide rollers look a little tight?
Hey David, I just happen to watch your video... I'm having similar issues with a 'Frosty T' burner that I just built, and was wondering if you ever determined what was the cause of your flame blowing out once you introduced the air. Thanks.
This a video of a guy's right upper arm and shoulder.
Personally I silver braze my bandsaw blades. Skew lap joint + 56%Silver brazing rod + Bhutane torch.
You look pretty young to lose all your front of your hair
I have made a padestal stand for my 8 in bench grinder. It weighs about 37 lbs. The problem is that when I switch off the grinder and it is slowing down the grinder with the padestal resonate and vibrate at 2 rotational speeds. Can u suggest a fix for this problem. I can share pics of my grinder padestal if possible.
Great video…I bought this saw and it’s been sitting in the unopened box since feb 2020 waiting for me to get around to some projects.(broke my back, so everything was on hold) Today she is going to be put together….thanks for the motivation lol…. Earned my subscription!!!!!!
The breaker should be the last thing to wire. As per what you’re doing, I’d pull the breaker.
So you’re saying tie wire is better than welding .
Why didn’t you use a 6/2 wire instead of a 6/3.
I had the 6/3 already, and when I bought it it was for the purpose of if I ever needed a neutral to be split off for a oven or something.
Very informative and straight to the point. Question: Which processes can you use this technique with?
A lot of processes. GTAW, GMAW, SMAW. Automation. Some would lend to it better as it's main reason is for heat input and distortion control.
Could I use 6011 stick ? Like thin as I could get the rod
Absolutely.
Thanks for the feed back I just i haven’t mastered tig or mig stick my main thing so I was curious could you possibly do more projects involving stick
@@scottingersoll9994 I wouldn't mind, but I haven't made many videos in the past few years after kids. But I certainly will keep it in mind if I do a future video.
7:30 because it's a hunk of junk.
Bought one, sold it in two weeks. I used lenox blades. Total piece of junk! Get a Evolution chop saw and mount a better vice.
Recommended model number? I recently was looking at some but it seems they have gone all DeWalt and got too many models to choose from.
Horrible video. Ends just as weld starts. I learned nothing. What a joke 👎👎👎
I have three words for you: USE CUTTING FLUID!!! I have one I bought I attached fluid container and I have no issues what so ever . P.S. I have the same band I bought from AliExpress 4 years ago
Any more of I use it, I just was the blade and go. Better blades equal great cutting.
*This stand is perfect for my application🛠️ **allabout.wiki/DEWALT-Power** I finally got my grinder off of my bench! I had to drill holes in the top to mount it securely, but I expected that when I bought it. It was a simple build, but the nuts and bolts are a bit tight on the leg interiors. An open-end wrench is needed. Sockets wouldn't fit. It has a small footprint, and fits nicely in a small niche in my garage.*
When assembling, flip saw unit upside down, then attach the stand to it. Do not do as directions describe, that is nearly impossible, dangerous and wacked.
Dikes is the abbreviation of diagonal cutters.
I did that why does both switch's turn each lite on or off I don't get it.
Did you do one Cable in from the feed/breaker box, and then two cable from the gang box out (one Cable to each different bank of lights coming off of each light switch)?
Could you share more about the 6-50 outlet?what’s the brand and where to purchase?
How do you with from a single pole breaker to a switch ????
Code violations are present in this video but I’ll let an electrician speak up.
Only thing I can think of is not taping the wire nuts. What are you thinking? We are all here to learn, so I'm curious.
I do also see that I show using a 15 Amp switch with 12/2 wire, maybe that? But what wasn't told is to size the breaker to 15 Amps.
looks good thanks for the great explanation.
Instead of switching the wires, you could have just moved the switch to the other side and marked the wires accordingly. The hots and grounds serve the same function regardless of which switch they're on. As long as nothing touches bare wire, you should be good.
a magnet and a cookie sheet below is great for keeping the sawdust off of the floor. Just don't use it for large cuts because it will cause the cookie sheet to go flying.
